You've been thinking it's time you had a web site:

You have something to sell.
You have a story to tell.
Your friends, colleagues, or partners have web sites and you want to have one, too.
You just want to have a web site of your own.
You already have a web site, but it doesn't look or work exactly the way you want.

But you don't know how to make it happen, and you don't really care. You wish someone would do it for you.

I can help:

I will set up a web site to look exactly the way you want.
If you want features beyond simply displaying your pages, such as allowing viewers to enter information for you, I will set that up for you.
If you are interested, I will show you how to maintain your site yourself.
If something comes up that you can't handle, I will help you or do it for you.

This is just a sideline for me now, so my rates are negotiable and very reasonable.

I believe that in order to be effective, a web site should be easy to read, clear, direct, and to the point. There is no limit to how fancy a site can get, with color combinations, movies, marquees, and so on, but I believe that much of the time those features can just annoy or distract the viewer.
My goal is 100% customer satisfaction.

My own site	The home page has very little on it, so it loads quickly even over slow connections. It links to other pages on the site and some pages of interest on other sites. The host, geocities (owned by Yahoo!), is free, and in return some advertising is displayed on the site.
Lindy Sinclair's cooking classes	Visitors to the site can click to book a class. Classes more than six days in the past automatically stop being displayed. Behind the scenes, the site is set up so that it is easy for Lindy to update it herself as she adds more classes or makes certain other changes. Note that Lindy pays for her own domain, and her web host does not display any advertising on her site.
Nick Slater's Work Counseling site	Nick wanted something simple but not just a bunch of text. We added a little color and some images, plus the PayPal links.
