My local town is Biggleswade in Bedfordshire and I spend a lot of time there. I run the Biggleswade and District Community Web. About 10 years ago when I started out in self employment I searched for Biggleswade on the Net and found virtually nothing so I decided to put that right. The site was not too bad for a zero budget project but I am no longer proud of it. Another project for some midnight oil!

I am enjoying self employment although it holds different challenges from those that I had working for a large corporate. One of the few things that I miss is the contact with work colleagues. In an endeavour to form a self help network for self employed people I am involved with www.ownbiz.co.uk Good as the Web is, there is sometimes no substitute for face to face meetings and I attend several of those on a reular basis..

One of the organisations that I belong to is Biggleswade History Society.

I am also a member of Biggleswade Chamber of Trade which carries out a variety of work behind the scenes to represent the interests of the town's traders and business community.

There is more! I have been a Christian all of my life and 6 years agao joined a Church, for the first time since my teens. Biggleswade Pentecostal Church is a small friendly congregation where I really feel at home.

What next? Well I am an ex GSL of Biggleswade Scout Group which delivers an impressive programme of activities for the young people of our town. I am still on the Exec as a Trustee and host the Group Web Site
