A view of a valley in Isalo National Park The swimming pool in Isalo A mouse lemur - smallest of the Lemurs and thus very cute Madagascar - home to some of the most unusual of traditions, animals and plantlife
Some of the local roads where a bit of a challenge Some roads were pretty good - so we could speed through the ubiquitous rice fields which were home to many birds and mosquitoes Mud biking But bus isn't that much faster - here we stopped while we waited for the road to be built
We tried travelling by boat too. Our promised 2 day sail from Tulear took us 4 days. Probably the most relaxing form of transport. As long as you're not doing the pulling. Our antics are viewed by the local ringtailed lemurs
