| Title: The Godfather Starring: Marlon Brando, Al Pacino, and Diane Keaton Genre: Mob Drama Rated: R for violent content Rating: ***1/2 (out of ****) Alright, this may have been one of the greatest films of all time to professionals, but it wasn't to me. Sure, three and a half stars out of four is pretty damn good, but it had some faults. It was very long. Three hours or so and seemed longer. There was a lot of talking and Marlon Brando was very hard to understand which made it more of a pain to listen to. Now, don't get me wrong, Marlon Brando did a wonderful job as Don Vito Corleono, the Godfather, but I just hated the voice. Al Pacino as well was wonderful as Michael Corleono, and the plot was empecable. Some of the scenes were beautifully filmed. It was a masterpiece, no doubt, but not the style movie I go for. Still, three and a half stars out of four is good enough for me. -Alaay- |
