This is another old movie. It's from way back in 1968 and is in black & white. Little improvement though, it's not in subtitles. In Cold Blood can be quite disturbing with the wrong audience (as almost all of my movies go). In Cold Blood is about two ex-convicts who just get out of jail, Perry Smith (Robert Blake) and Dick Hickock (Scott Wilson). The two convicts meet up in Kansas City, a city of deep and horrifying past for Perry. Perry had been called in my Dick on a special job, a robbery, worth over $10,000. Unfortunetly for Perry and Dick, this robbery does terribly wrong.

The robbery itself is not shown in the beginning. After a scene change, the entire event is over. The family Perry and Dick were robbing from, the Cunnighams, were murdered. Four family members, a father, mother, sister, and brother. All of them died in cold blood. Now Perry and Dick have to flee from the scene, while the police are left without a trace. It looks like the two murderers got away without a trace... until you realize the farmer didn't have $10,000. He had forty-three bucks. Now Perry and Dick have to face three challenges... the police, the murder, and themselves.

The highlight of this movie ain't the fact that they commited a murder. It ain't the hunt for 'em. It ain't even their interactions with one another. It's the psychology of them. It's the story of two murderers who "...commit an insane act, while being utterly sane..." In Cold Bold is a thriller, a tale so vivid that it can make you feel sorry for two convicts that killed four people, and hate 'em at the same time. The ending, captivating in the purest way, is also unique. It's stops coming from these two, and a narrator takes over for the closing effect. This is definetly a disturbing, vivid, and intriging thriller own suitable for the strongest of will. Anyway, well worth a four out of four on my rating.
