Title: Heartbreakers
Starring: Jennifer Love Hewitt, Sigourney Weaver, Jason Lee, Ray Liota, and Gene Hackman
Genre:  Romantic Comedy
Rated: PG-13 for mild (yeah, right) sexuality and more cleavage then Julia Roberts
Rating: ***1/2 (out of ****)

Well, I don't think I need to explain the plot of Heartbreakers seeing as everyone who will read this article (besides Houdini) had seen it with me. SO I'll focus mainly on the ups and downs. Jason Lee was definetly the best part of this movie. He was brilliant, and actually did well at not over exaggerating his part into a pre-Mallrats attitude. Gene Hackman was a great prop for Sigourney Weaver to play around with, but his actual depth of a role was a little hallow. He was a punching bag for the other characters to get a good joke out of for themselves. Next up, Sigourney. I'll just say one thing... ick. Ick. It's not that her performance wasn't good or anything (the Russian was a very nice touch) but I hope to hell the part wasn't typecast.

Finally, Miss. Love. Eh. On the good side, she didn't f*ck up the part too bad, on the bad side it was a little annoying to see her throw around as a sex prop for Jason Lee's character to be tormented by. Some scenes were a little over-acted on her part, and she generally made her character seem like a twelve-year old, but I'm just an ogre when it comes to these new pop-style stars. Personally, I feel Jason Lee could do better, but then again I don't run Hollywood. Oh, but if I did... heheh... think of all the monkeys... sorry. Anyway, Heartbreakers was a fun film to watch and I might even give it a second chance, but only gets a three and a half out of four for some minor icky flukes in the acting and a very blah attitude and flow to the film.
