Title: Eyewitness
Starring: William Hurt, Sigourney Weaver, Christopher Plummer, James Woods, and Morgan Freeman
Genre:  Murder Mystery
Rated: PG-13
Rating: *** (out of ****)

Eyewitness is a movie about a janitor, Daryll Deever (William Hurt), that is present during the time of a big murder. Though hounded by the dectectives (Morgan Freeman), they have nothing on him and is let go. However, he runs into the most beautiful woman in the world... a Russian Jew named Tony Sokolow (Sigourney Weaver). Tony isn't interested in him once she finds out he knows nothing, but Deryll lies and claims he saw more then he was letting on to set up a date. Bad idea, especially since these Vietnamese guys have been following Daryll, trying to find out why they killed their boss (the dead guy). They, however, don't know he didn't do it and keep getting fed more and more false information. The cops move their eyes onto Aldo (James Woods), a paranoid friend of Deryll's that is prone to fits of rage. Even worse, Tony's (the reporter's) current fling Joseph (Christopher Plummer) is starting to cave in on Deryll's obsession with Tony and wants him out of the picture. It's a good murder mystery, with some damn funny lines and an amazing cast. Morgan Freeman is da man playing Lieutenant Black. William Hurt from Lost In Space, A Couch In New York, and a slew of other movies gives a brilliant performance next to a not withered and old Sigourney Weaver. The whole movie is generally very good, it has a nice flow, but the ending just sucks. It completly plummets towards the end and leaves the whole two hours just empty. Nonetheless, it was a decent movie and gets a three stars out of four rating.

"When he was a kid, Aldo must have wanted to be a suspect when he grew up."
