First of all, this movie fully deserves five stars out of four. The movie is about a compulsive obsessive jack-ass by the name of Melvin Udall (Jack Nicholson). Melvin leads a very isolated and shallow life. Kinda' like me. Melvin runs the same routine day-in and day-out. Never step on cracks, wash with throw-away soap, lock five times, and breakfast every morning. However, when his gay artist neighboor Simon (Greg Kinnaer) got busted up bad from theives, Melvin is forced to help him out through coercion of Simon' boyfriend (Cuba Gooding Jr.). First by taking care of his dog, then by taking him out to meet him astranged parents. On the way, however, Melvin invites a lady friend of his who he has a slight infactuation for, Carol Connelly (Helen Hunt). There starts a shacky relationship between the two, ultimately leading all three of them to utter misery. As Good As It Gets is amazing. Dramatic, witty as hell, captivating, just uttery astounding. Well worth watching. Rent it, I don't want to ruin the surprise of the movie. An Alaay classic.

Besides, it's like a glimpse into the future for me.
