Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad (Arabic:meaning "The Bird, Son of no one") is a fictional character in the Assassin's Creed series. He serves as the
protagonist of Assassin's Creed, Assassin's Creed: Altaïr's Chronicles, and Assassin's Creed: Bloodlines. He also appears as a playable character in
Assassin's Creed: Revelations and some other games. He was named after the brightest star in the constellation Aquila, which was known
symbolically as "The Eagle."
