Riot Girl was formed in late 2001 by a bunch of 4th form best friends: Hannah Cox, Kate Yesberg, Laura McQuillan and Katie Diggelmann.

In mid 2004 Hannah left school and the band decided to continue just as a 3-piece, giving the band a new sound and look.
