Dear Applicant,

Preregistration is the first step in enrolling as a student at the American International School of Lome. Return the pre-registration form to AISL at the school address , or fax it to the school. It would be helpful if you included a copy of your last year's report card marks for our consideration at this time.

High School students should send copies of all report cards from 9^th grade on.

The second step is enrollment. An enrollment form will be sent to you as soon as you are accepted as a potential student for AISL. This should be quickly returned with the registration fee needed to complete enrollment.

Once we receive your enrollment form, your report cards or transcripts and your initial fees, you are considered a student for the next school year or agreed date of entry.

1. Fee Schedule

• Registration fees are payable at the time of enrollment.
  All students must pay a one-time of enrollment non-refundable registration fee.
• University of Nebraska fee are payable at the time of enrollment (High School).

2. Due Dates

• Payable August 1^st - August 22^nd.
  1% discount is available upon payment of the full tuition fees for the school year on or before the first day of classes, or the first day child is enrolled.
• Payable in two installments by check or bank transfer as follows:

3. Late payment of tuition

• As per Board policy, interest is charged at 1% on outstanding balance at 45 calendar days from due date.
• Thereafter, interest is charged at 2% per month.

4. Refunds

• Fees once paid are non-refundable except when paid for a full year and a student is withdrawn prior to commencement of second semester because of transfer from Lome or some other reason deemed acceptable to Board of Directors,
• in which case the second semester fees will be refunded.
• No refund will be made for students withdrawing mid-semester without notice.
• No refund is made when a student is expelled from school.
• No refund is made when a student leaves the last quarter.

5. Payment Currency

• US dollars or CFAs - 50% in each currency.

6. Partial year Tuition

• Students enrolled after the beginning of the school year will be charged a prorated tuition according to the time of enrollment.

7. University of Nebraska

• Students enrolled in the U. of Nebraska Independant Study program pay an additional fee of $ 1 575.00. The U. of N. fee covers 6 core courses per school year. Foreign languages classes are extra. U. of N. fee is non-refundable after 30 days.
• The ITED test cost is $ 50.00. The ITED is a mandated test by the U. of Nebraska.

8. School supplies

• School supplies and materials are supplied to students in Pre-School - Grade 8 only. HS students must provide own school supplies.

9. CFA rate

• Rate of CFA is determined by the day. The US embassy and Ecobank rate will be used to determine the daily rate.

Additional Banking Instructions

1. All payments made should clearly state the name of the sender, the date, address and amount.
2. If paid in U.S. dollars through a U.S. based bank, there are no additional fees.
3. Checks in U.S. dollars not drawn on a U.S. bank must add an additional $75.00. Please note that the $75.00 fee will cover in the majority of the cases, the associated fee related to these transactions.
4. Checks payable in foreign currencies will be sent for collection ($75.00 fee) and converted at the foreign bank's prevailing exchange rate at time of presentation. Please note that the $75.00 fee will cover in the majority of the cases, the associated fee related to these transactions.
5. If you are sending an International wire transfer in U.S. dollars, please add an additional $20.00 handling fee. Our incoming wire processing fee is $10.00. On foreign wires, other banking institutions may be used as "intermediary" agents, and may also charge an additional fee.
6. Checks not honored (returned or bounced) by the paying bank can incur additional fees of between $20.00 and $30.00 U.S. dollars. Please note, when these fees are not added, we do not receive your full payment. We will, therefore, invoice you the difference.

11. SAT classes

• Classes are available for non-registered students. Cost is $ 800.00 per month.
