What is a virtual airline?
A virtual airline (VA) is a group of persons or friends that enjoy Flight Simulationand that join under that name to recreate an airlines operations; being possibly both real or invented, to spend some time among friends and other airline members.
What is IVAO? How does it work?
The International Virtual Aviation Organization is a dedicated, independent, free of charge, service to enthusiasts and individuals enjoying and participating in the flight simulation community worldwide. IVAO was formed to supply high quality services to its users on demand.
Providing the Flight Simulation community with a highly realistic aviation environment, is IVAO's prime objective. This includes, a real-time system for online flying (as pilot) and controlling (as air traffic controller), databases with aviation information, and organizing training and online events.

What does a Virtual Airline do? Advantages and drawbacks of joining.
A Virtual Airline, as said before, si a group of friends that enjoy recreating the operation of an airline; In this manner they attempt to establish some general rules of conduct and guidelines to the creation of flightplans, procedures and checklists, as well as to the operations of the aircraft, ect... All this is done with the participation and work of all it's members and the creation of databases, for example, of flight plans. The main advantage of being part of an airline as Air Nostrum RV, are the preparation of flight plans or forwarding of relevant and important data towards an online flight. One of the possible drawbacks is a required minimun flight hours.
What does "Regional Virtual" stand for?
The suffix"Regional Virtual" (RV), was thought of for two main reasons. The first reason because of which the word "Regional" was selected is that the real airline Air Nostrum, is the leading regional airline in Europe, and due to this unique caracteristique has, during the last few years, won many awards and recognition in the european and worldwide aeronautical industrie. The second reason why the suffix was chosen was to change the normal "VA" annex of nearly all other Airlines of IVAO for something more unique to our own airline, and what better than to underline our regional caracteristics and it being a Virtual airline than "Regional Virtual".
P.S.: Another relevant detail of this suffix is that it does not change from Spanish to English, being able to read in it whichever of our two official languages without modifications or need for special logos.
Is your airline approved by Air Nostrum (IBERIA Regional)?
Yes, we have Air Nostrums approval. After having attempted to communicate with the airline during some months, finally, on the 12th January 2005 we recieved notice from the Corporative Development Department and the Commercial Department of Air Nostrum, L.A.M., S.A. of the approval of the creation and operation of the airline in the IVAO network. The document we recieved specifically advised to the strict adhesion to the IVAO Regulations and to the VA Rules & Regs., as well as the preservation of good name and image of the real life airline.
