This is sweet Amber.
Amber was born Sept 6, 1992.
She is a Cocker Spaniel.
Pictured here at just 8 weeks old, she was the cutest thing I've have ever seen. Amber had a hard start in life. At her first vet check we leaned that Amber had a serious heart condition called a heart murmur. A heart murmur is an abnormal blood flow through the heart. In Amber's case this is a Congenital defect (PDA). When seen in young dogs this means it is hereditary. We were told not to get her over excited or exercise to much. This was very hard with an active pup. The vet did not think Amber would live a long life, or were they sure she would make it through heart surgery. For the time being we deceided against heart surgery. Hoping her condition would get better as she grew. Well to our surprise it did! Amber still has a heart murmur, but it's a low grade murmur. She is now almost 11 years old, and has been a great companion to my parents. We are happy for everyday she has shared her life with our family. Amber has touched our lives in many ways, and now has gone on to teach Moxy the way. Thank you Amber, may we share many more years with you. |
