On behalf of the AIDA NSW Branch I would like to thank all the people involved in the 1999 Australian Championships of Irish Dancing recently held in September/October in Wollongong.

With the financial support of the sponsors who donated prizes and those who sponsored sections, it was possible for us to give more than the quote of prizes in each section. And with the support of the Parents Committee and friends who assisted with fundraising and the actual running of the Championships, we had a very successful Championships. We couldn’t have gone anywhere better than to the Wollongong Entertainment Centre who looked after us so well and provided such a great venue.

These groups of people combined made the last Championships of the Millennium one to remember, and for that the AIDA NSW Branch would like to thankyou.

Our certificates, medals, trophies and sashes with our special logo have gone to all parts of Australia to those competitors who danced at the Championships.  Congratulations to all those teachers and competitors.

We look forward to seeing everyone next at the Gold Coast 2000 Championships.
