Hossam Hassan

Hossam Hassan (born August 10, 1966) is considered one of the best Egyptian soccer players of all time. He has played more international matches and scored more goals than anyone in Egypt's soccer history. As of 2006, he had amassed 170 caps for his country and scored 71 goals.

7) Second highest alltime record of goals in Egyptian League, Scoring 159 Goals (2nd to Hassan El-Shazly)

8) Highest record of goals in Zamalek / Ahly Derbies (9 goals)

9) Egyptian & African alltime record of African Club Cup titles (6 titles)

10) Second Egyptian alltime Goal record in African club Cups (27 Goals)

11) One of two players who scored for Ahly against Zamalek and for Zamalek against Ahly


His twin brother, Ibrahim, has also been capped by Egypt over 100 times. Ibrahim has mainly played for the same clubs as Hossam has, but is now retired.
