My first Christmas was okay. I didn’t really understand much of what was going on, but I got to open presents, and that was cool. I got a lot of new toys and some nice clothes too. Santa brought me a mail box and a doll. I still like to play with Zach’s toys though, because then I get to play with him. But he doesn’t like me touching his stuff.

Right after the first of this year I started walking without holding onto anything. I can go far too before I lose my balance. I really like to walk into the kitchen or the bathroom and open the cupboard doors and go through whatever I can find. I have to be quick because somebody is always right behind me pulling me away. I also talk all the time. I can say "gotta go, uh-uh, ca-ca (cracker)" and a whole bunch of other stuff. I also like to wave to people. It really makes them happy for some reason.

On January 21st I had my 9 month check up and no shots, yeah!!! I weighed 18 lbs. 14 ozs and was 27 " long. The doctor thought I was doing great!

Have I been a busy girl! I can really sit up good all by myself, and I can pull myself up to standing. I have also mastered the combat crawl. I am quick too! If I see something I want I am there in a flash. Crawling comes in handy too because now I can go wherever I want and I don’t have to wait for someone to carry me. I can also walk if somebody is holding on to me, or if I am holding on to something. Mommy is trying to teach me to drink from a sippy cup, but it is a lot different than a bottle. It makes a huge mess! I am also getting to eat a bunch of good foods.

On October 22 I had my 6-month check-up. I was 25 " tall and weighed 16 lbs 11 oz. I also had to get 5 shots. That is such a bummer!

Zach is not so nice all the time anymore. He won’t let me touch any of his toys. Maybe it's because I really like chewing on his cars! Sometimes he even takes my toys away from me. Then sometimes he will sit on the floor with me and play blocks or something. I don’t get it!

I started saying da-da on October 13th. Daddy was out of town on a business trip, but I surprised him when he came home. I have also started saying bah-bah. Zach warned me that once I start, everybody is going to try to get me to say other stuff. Oh well, in due time.

Mommy & daddy sold our house so we are staying with Grandma Kathy and Grandpa Dennis until the new house is done. It is fun. I get lots of attention, but I have to share a room with Zach. He sure is noisy at night!

For my first Halloween I was Blue from Blue’s Clues. I didn’t mind the costume too much, and I had some ears that were good to chew on! I didn’t get to go trick or treating because it was very cold, but that's okay. I did get to help decorate pumpkins.

I also got to eat "real" food for Thanksgiving. It was yummy! The sweet potatoes that my grandma’s made taste a whole lot better than the ones in the jar that mommy makes me eat.

We are just getting ready for Christmas now. I am not sure what that means, but there are tons of pretty lights to look at on people’s houses! I’ll let you know soon how it goes!

On August 20th I had my 4 month checkup. I weighed 14lbs 10oz and was 23 " long. The doctor was very proud of me for how well I can sit, roll over and talk. She also gave mommy the go ahead to start giving me real food. I have had rice cereal, (which is pretty) blah, carrots, squash, sweet potatoes, bananas, pears, peaches, and applesauce. I really like them all!

I rolled over from my back to my tummy on July 30th and from my tummy to my back on August 3rd. I tried scooting for awhile, but it was hard work, so now I just roll wherever I want to go. I can sit by myself pretty good, but I am still a little unstable and fall over. I started holding my own bottle too. It works well when we are in the car and I need to eat!

Zach lets me play trucks with him sometimes, and he likes to sit on the floor with me and make me laugh. He can be pretty silly. I have also discovered my feet. I really like holding onto them and putting them in my mouth. Mom tries to put socks on my feet and I take them off immediately, they don’t taste as good with socks on! I love to lay on the floor and play with toys. Anything that I can put in my mouth is a bonus. I also have a saucer that is pretty fun to be in. Check back in a couple of months

On June 19th I had my 2 month check up. I weigh 12 lbs and I am 21 " tall. I have been sleeping through the night since I was 6 weeks old. Mommy is really happy because she is back to work and likes the extra rest. On the days mommy & daddy work, I either go to Grandma Kathy’s or to Grandpa Rich’s house. They tell me that I am easier than brother was, but the two of us together are a handful! I like to smile and laugh, especially when people make funny faces and noises. I am also trying really hard to roll over, but I get on my side and get stuck. Everyone says it will be any day now. I like to play with my gyms that have toys hanging down. I also have an alligator that used to be Zach’s that is attached to my car seat. It is really good for chewing on. Sometimes Zach reads books aloud, and I really like listening to him. I have a special chair for taking a bath and Zach likes for us to take a bath together sometimes. He helps mommy wash me off. Check back in a few weeks and I will have more news!

I was born April 19, 2002 at 2:59pm. I weighed 7 lbs 5 ozs and I was 19 " tall. I have blue eyes and brown hair just like my big brother Zach. Everybody says I look just like him when he was born. Mommy says I am a good eater. I guess she is right because when I was 2 weeks old I weighed 8 lbs! I am also a very good baby. I only cry when I am hungry, and I sleep good at night so mommy & daddy don’t have to get up too much to feed me. My big brother is very nice. He likes to lay on the floor with me and tell me about his toys. Sometimes he will get my toys and try to play, but I am just too little right now. Give me a few months and we will play all day!
