Prospek Pembangkit Listrik Daur Kombinasi Gas untuk Mendukung Diversifikasi Energi
(Prospect of Gas Combined Cycle Power Plant to Support Energy Diversification)

Abstract

State Electricity Company (PLN) has been planed to develop gas combined cycle power plant (PLTGU) to increase utilization of natural gas in Indonesia. The plan match with result of MARKAL model due to economic of PLTGU and supported by a huge natural gas reserved and availability of pipeline. PLTGU could be operate to supply base or peak load. PLTGU also has advantage, i.e.: low generating cost and high thermal efficiency compare with conventional gas turbine power plant.
