Abstract |

|
Sustainable development has received attention since Earth Summit in 1992. In the summit UN Commission on Sustainable Development was established and every nation has responsibility implementing the Agenda 21. Chapter 40 of Agenda 21 calls for the development of indicators for sustainable development. The indicators in the core set are presented in a Driving Force, States and Responses framework. Each of the core sets should be suit with the specific criteria. To support implementation of Agenda 21, BPPT in cooperation with IAEA has initiative to make sustainable electricity development indicator. The indicator consists of 4 categories, i.e. social, economy, atmosphere, and waste. |
