NINILCHIK CLAM DIGGERS

Four of my relatives, Bill Kvasnikoff (now deceased), my uncle Joe Leman, Isaac Cooper (deceased), and Alex Oskolkoff, pose with their clam shovels, during a break from their clam digging on a Ninilchik beach. There are many razor clams near Ninilchik and other beaches on Cook Inlet, such as at Clam Gulch. These clams are delicious, whether dipped in batter and fried whole, ground and fried in patties, or boiled in chowder. Umm, my mouth is watering just thinking about them!
