~The silly thoughts in life that amuse me...~

November 27th, 2003>

Well my Dark Darlings I am finally able to breathe.

Today I sent in my college application. It was a bit scary. I've been planning for years and years what I will do with my life. And even though I sent in my application I still haven't really decided if that is what I really want to do.

But it is what I will do, providing I get accepted anywhere. So now I nervously await April and its sad promise of rejection letters...if they are gracious enough to bother to send them to me...

OK after having a long weird discussion that lasted over 5 days I've figured out {given half the chance} what I would name my children if I ever had any {which I probably won't}. Oh and also if it were just a boy and a girl.

Dirk and Lilianna

I've always loved both of those names and I think they might be something the kids could live with and not regret. So no laughing kay?

Well Darlings I have a not so secret secret to tell all of you!I like to spin and dance.

I have no rhythm, or balance, and am really klutzy, and have a bad memory but I never said I was any good now did i :P

The thing I find really cute though is that when ever I spin around anyone {which is a lot} they always seem to ask if I took figure skating lessons.

I have never taken figure skating lessons in my life!

So it always REALLY confuses me when they ask that, but either way I just think it's cute that so many people act like they're on crack now in days :P

Hmm darlings it seems I have neglected things for awhile and not been updating the site like I should be.
*tisk tisk shame on me* :)
But I have a good excuse and its that I've been indulging in this months theme.

Can you guess what it is?

Darlings I want you to do something creative this month. It's November now and the beautiful fall is quickly being replaced with winter. So I want all of you to create your own little piece of beauty.

For example I have been re-discovering the joys of crayons. The feel of them, the look of them, the way the contrast against the stark white-ness of the page. It's just a great experience.

So Darlings go out and build, make, create, and dream. It can be as simple as finger painting to your favourite music or staring at the clouds and finding shapes. Or it can be as hard as building a boat or writing a novel. The point is do something creative that you enjoy. Enjoy your November :)

Hello My Dark Darlings,
I have a new little thought after getting an e-mail from a visitor - who didn't sign the guest book {I have a little rant in The Parlour about that}. They asked why the hell did I name the pages The Front Door ~ The Garden ~ The Back Entrance ~ The Ball Room ~ The Parlour ~ and The Balcony.

Quite the question darlings, I shall explain.

I named the lead page The Front Door because it is the entrance to the site. Could of called it the Foyer I suppose but if someone didn't like it - well it just wouldn't have the same kick as 'they backed out of the front door' or 'they closed the front door'.

Do you see what I mean Darlings?

So to finish up The Garden is called that because it contains art and they are colourful or pretty much like flowers in a garden.
The Back Entrance is because it leads to links outside of this site. Much like a back entrance of a house leads to outside.
The Ball Room is a place where the words of my writings can come out and dance.
Rants are in The Parlour because it is generally a discussion area.
And last but not least The Balcony is where I put thoughts because much like a window it is a place to stand or sit - look out upon the world and ponder those little questions inside of us.

Today I was struck with the strangest thought. What would my name be if i were a pirate?
I'm not really sure what had brought that thought on seeing as I was thinking about who originally said the phrase 'Ducks don't wear goulashes', but I figured 'hell I'm going to find an answer'. So I went to the ever trusty Google.ca to find out my pirate name. I typed 'name generator' into the search and then waded into the first page of results - pondering all the while why I didn't type in 'PIRATE name generator' instead - Finally I hit gold...
I learned my true pirate name as foretold by a cheesy random search made up by some mysterious computer nerd somewhere in the world...

Mary Anne Rackham!

Rackham is supposed to be pronounced 'Rack-em' it told me, and that I was special because it was a well loved pirate last name. I laughed at this, it was just too funny. Unfortunately it also fuelled my curiosity.
I ended up checking a few sites - all different.

I found out my Pagan name -

Gwyneth Branwen Harp {I like the sound of this one}

I found out my Hobbit name -

Sweetpea Loamsdown {of Deephallow}

My Elvish name -

Finduilas Carnsir {I have no clue what it means in english...}

My porn star name -

Bambi Wild {hmm if the people who knew me saw that they would probably laugh...}

And last but certainly not least my Vampire name

Margravine of the Far East {or in certain parts of the world 'Mistress of the Moutain Ash' which I think has a neat sense of mystery about it.

So I encourage anyone out there to hit google {or your other favourite search engine} - type in name generator - let loose and laugh a little at yourself. After all those things were created with fun in mind so why not use them?
