Altoids weren't the only "oids" made. There were Benoids, Cyphoids, Zenoids, and Notoids. I guess they thought that "oids" on the end made people think it was a really good medicine... doesn't make sense to me!
Altoids are made in Peppermint,Cinnamon, and Wintergreen flavors. Newest are Spearmint (which I dispise) and Ginger (which I have not tried)
Altoids weren't always packaged in those nice little tins. They used to be packaged in little cardboard boxes. In the '20s, they started making the tins to keep them shut in pockets and purses.
Altoids have been in the US since 1918. They sell better over on the west coast. Although The amount of altoids I have bought this month alone has brought us east coasters signifagantly closer to beating the west coast.
According to SOMEONE I know, the rumor about Altoids enhancing oral sex is true. The only way to know for certian, of course... is to try it for yourself. And NO, I may be addicted, but i'm not gonna voulnteer myself to do some research. HEY!! if you try it, then let me know the results!!
According to my dentist, Altoids also rot teeth. Good to know, but not going to change anything over here...
