| Shadowscythe (Author if you didn�t know) � hey ya�ll this is my first Digimon Fanfic so please easy on the flames and complements (more of this one please) are very welcome. Anyway I guess I will describe what I may be doing for this Fanfic �. Ehhh � you just will have to stay with me and find out anyway on to the standard stuff. Shadowscythe: I don�t own Digimon or anything else that you may recognize from other animes in my � Tai (interrupting him): Now you are going to say that you wish you did and that you would change everything that happens in it. SS (eye twitches a bit as he glares at Tai): You like messing up my rants don�t you?? Tai (grins): Anything to make you stop talking SS (growls a bit): Kamiya you are about two steps from me making this a Taito � now I know you don�t want that do you?? Tai: eep � I�ll be quiet now!! SS: Good � now can I start the fic??? Tai quickly nods and SS smiles brightly and opens his mouth to say something when Sora walks in. Sora: Hey guys the rest of us are wondering when you are going to start?? SS (eye twitches again): Well my dear Miss Takenouchi I was just about to start it when you came in. Sora (blushes and bows): ah � sorry SS (grumbles a bit): now � if we don�t have any more � Yamato comes in and notices everyone standing around. Yamato: Hey how come you all are just standing around aren�t we suppose to be doing a fic right about now??? SS� eye twitches yet again as he fights the urge to strangle Yamato right then and there but manages to not do it but his knuckles have turned white from his hands being clenched too long. SS (slowly): Yamato � bro � I don�t mean to be rude but GET OFF THE STAGE RIGHT NOW SO I CAN START!!!!!!! Yamato peels himself off the far wall and shakes his head as he hangs his head sheepishly and walks back off the stage while Tai and Sora are both cowering in the corner hugging each other for support. SS (calms down and looks at the pair in the corner and grins): Hey are you two getting comfortable???? Both Tai and Sora look at each other and then look at the placement of their hands and quickly release each other and look away blushing like mad while SS laughs at the pair. SS: well now that there are no more interruptions I will finally start the fic at long � Mimi (just coming in): Hey you guys I just saw Matt and he looked scared � Mimi slowly stops talking as she sees the numerous veins popping out of SS� head and begins to count how many have popped out Mimi: --1� 2 ... 3 ���8 � eep -- SS: Mimi, sweetie �� be a dear and leave I would love that ever so much Mimi nods shakily as she back-pedals her way backwards off the stage and keeps her eyes locked on him before spinning around and running in the direction Matt ran a few moments ago had run. SS (sighs): alright now I am going to start the fic ��. (Grumbles) bout time too (normal voice) alright everyone on with the fic. [End rant] (Actions) --Thinking-- ~ * (insert name here) * ~ = Starting of story being told in a person's point of view ~ * ~ = End of story being told by person's point of view -------- = Scene change The Fallen ~*Tai*~ --------- Dear Journal, ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Well I have been putting it off and I have been saying it for a long time but right now I am going to do it � I am going to ask my best friend, Sora Takenouchi, out on a date � yea yea I know that I kept saying this but now I am going to do it � I am going to ask her before Yamato�s concert tonight so the next time that I write in you I will hopefully be able to say that I got her to go out with me and hopefully become my girlfriend � sigh � I hope everything goes right � well its almost time for Yama�s concert so I am going over to Sora�s house to catch her before it starts till then Journal ja ne. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ~*~ Tai�s Room As Tai hastily put away his journal under his bed, this had been the 4th time he had changed the hiding location because Kari had been searching his room for it and he knew it, even when he confronted her with it she flat out denied it but he questions of how he felt about a certain red-head and his answer was to change the topic about who she liked, he knew the subject of Davis would make her go insane if he asked enough, but his ace in the hole was to ask about the younger Ishida, Takaru, every time he asked about how she felt about the young blonde she would promptly blush and try to change the topic but Tai was well known for his stubbornness and kept asking till the younger Kamiya would blow up and say its not his place to ask. Tai smiled at the image of his little sister, he truly did love her and only wanted what was best for her, he saw how she looked up to Sora during their adventures in the Digital World, but was also worried when she got sick while traveling in Mugen Dramon�s city but he was grateful that both Sora and TK offered to stay behind and look after while him and Izzy went to look for medicine. Suddenly there was a knock at his door stopping all reminiscence of their time in the Digital World. Tai: Yea? Who�s there? Agumon (just waking up): Wha � Tai what�s going on � is it time to go? Kari: Tai its me Kari, I was just knocking to tell you to hurry up if you take any longer you are going to miss the concert. Tai (while looking at his clock): --shoot I got to get going if I am going to talk to Sora-- Thanks for reminding me Kari Kari: Anytime Tai � just hurry up or you�re going to miss talking to Sora � Tai (while opening his door): --what how did she know that I wanted to talk to Sora-- Hey Kari how did ��. Oh well � come on buddy Agumon: Right behind you Tai Tai was going to say more but noticed that Kari was no longer at his door so he looked around a bit for her and soon after heard the familiar slam of the front door signalling that she had already gone. At first Tai was going to chase after his little sister but noticed that he had no time so he threw on his shoes, grabbed his coat off the rack, and raced out the door and headed for Sora�s house with a mission in his heart. On the streets of Odaiba Sora (holding on to a small package): --I wonder if Matt will like these cookies that I baked for him-- While she was thinking things over Biyomon her trusted partner and loyal friend was keeping in pace with her as she looked up at the far away look in Sora�s eyes while also keep an eye out for anything out of the ordinary while they travelled to their destination. It had only been 15 minutes since the two of them had left Sora�s home before Biyomon decided to speak up snapping Sora out of her trance like state. Biyomon: Hey Sora? Sora (shaking her head a bit and smiling down at the pink bird): Yes Biyo? Biyo: Why did you make those cookies again? Sora (chuckles a bit): Silly I told you � it�s a Christmas present for Matt. Biyo: Oh!?! � Ok then Sora smiles down at the little pink bird as they continues their trek towards the tent and as their destination becomes more evident Sora�s heart starts to race at the thought of her being alone with Yamato, at first she wondered if she should just dump the present and just run back home or just knock on the door toss them at the base and hide and wait to see what happened. All of those thoughts plus more ran through her head while she walked towards the back entrance where she would see him this would be a real test of the heart for one Sora Takenouchi. On the way to Sora�s House Tai: --got to get there � I have to say what�s in my heart now or I will never be able to say it at all-- Agumon (panting): T..Tai � can we slow down??? � My legs aren�t that long as yours. Tai (not looking back but slows down a bit): Sorry buddy � but I have to do something now or else I can�t do it. Agumon (catching up to Tai): Then I guess we should hurry then eh Tai. Tai (thinks for a bit and spins around and quickly picks up Agumon): Yes we should hurry. As Tai sprints down the street with Agumon in his arms his only thoughts are on his beloved and hoping that he will get to her in time to speak his heart to her. After another 5 minute run Tai and Agumon finally ends up at the front door of one Sora Takenouchi, as Tai caught his breath and was about to knock on the apartment door all that he was going to say to Sora just left his mind and so Tai just stood there at the door with his hand raised and ready to knock but he never moved which brought a confused look to the little orange lizard next to him. Agumon: Hey Tai aren�t you gonna knock?? Tai: � Agumon (shrugging): Alright then allow me too (starts to knock his claw against the door and stops when he heard someone coming and quickly hides to the side) Person (coming towards the door): Coming!!! Tai, who was just recently been a statue, finally came out of his trance just as he heard Agumon bang on the door and the soft footfalls of someone inside of the house coming towards the door. Tai would of ran if it had not been for Agumon holding his leg in place and started fighting with him to let him go. All this stopped when the front door opened to reveal Mrs. Takenouchi still dawned in her Kimono that she wore when she worked in the flower shop. Mrs. Takenouchi: Yes hello � Oh hi Tai how are you?? Tai (regaining his voice as he smiles at Mrs. Takenouchi): Hi Mrs. T � I am doing just fine � I was wondering � is Sora home?? Mrs. T: I�m sorry Tai but she left here awhile ago � she said something about giving someone named Yamato a present � from the mess she left in the kitchen I say she baked him some cookies other then that I don�t know. She left a couple of minutes ago if you hurry you may catch her. Tai: --I have to catch her-- �Ok thanks Mrs. T, goodbye� Mrs. T: Bye Tai!! Tai and Agumon wave one last time to Sora�s mom as they both bolt down the stairs and onto the street and head for the tent where the concert would be held in. Tai: -- Please Sora, wait � wait for me�-- A few blocks from the concert tent Both Sora and Biyomon were still walking down the dark streets of Odaiba talking happily now that the little pink bird was able to get Sora off the topic of Matt for the time being, now they were talking about Sora�s new sport Tennis. Biyomon: So Sora tell me again � what�s the reason you hit the ball over the net � and what�s a ball again?? Sora (laughing): Oh Biyo � never mind about it, besides we are getting close to the concert. Biyomon: Oh okay then � but will you tell me later right? Sora (nodding): ok B � sure thing But this was a bad idea on Sora�s part it now allowed her mind to be put back on track on the subject of Matt and what she will do when she saw him and gave him his present. Sora: -- What am I going to say, what am I going to do, what if he doesn�t accept, what if he laughs at me, no Matt�s not like that, but we all have changed over the years and he does have all those girls fawning over him that are much better looking at me, what if �-- These and more thought ran through Sora�s mind at every step she took that brought her closer and closer to the back entrance of the concert tent. A block away from the concert tent Tai and Agumon were running at full tilt towards their destination and as the round the bend they see both a small pink bird and the fiery red head standing in front of the back entrance of the concert tent, while Tai stops and catches his breath he absentmindedly fingers the package in his coat pocket, the present that Tai was going to give to his true love it took a big chunk out of his savings but in Tai�s eyes the being known as Sora was well worth it. As Tai was standing there Agumon was about to ask him if he was going up but we quickly silenced when Tai started to walk towards her as if he was able to read the young dragons mind, so Agumon didn�t say a thing but followed him. While the young Bearer of Courage walked up to the Child of Love certain thoughts ran through his mind such as how she will react and what she will say but were quickly erase but instead replaced with a sudden rush of nervousness coursing through his veins as he closes the space between them, luckily for Tai, Sora was still oblivious to his presence which ease the tension little but also sadden the leader of the Digidestined because she was staring intently at the package in her hand and also at the door that lead to the ice-blue eyed boy, a swell of jealously raised in the young boy but was quickly confused by it because he had nothing to be jealous of as of yet, but he knew that deep in his soul he knew that he had to be jealous of the blond-haired rock star, but for Tai being who he is quickly pushes it away as he came to a stop next to the fiery red head but was only noticed by her digimon partner. Biyomon: Oh hey guys what�s up??? Sora (just coming out of her trance): Oh hi Agumon � h-hi Tai. Tai: Hey Sora, Biyomon � what�s up and why are you two standing here??? Tai listen intently to Biyomon as she told the Courage pair Sora�s predicament, while the small bird-type digimon told the pair the story Sora felt her cheeks warm up both with embarrassment and slight anger at the small bird but keep in cheek, but Tai on the other hand was not really paying attention but was able to pick up a few small snippets of the story and when he saw the blush creep onto Sora�s face he felt as if his heart had been taken out and ripped apart by hand then given back to him in its destroyed fashion, but Tai was able to piece back enough of his heart to revive his speech. Tai: Is � Is this true Sora??? (Saying as almost the answer were a venomous snake ready to strike) Sora (hiding her face a little): Yes Tai � it is. Tai, leader of the world�s strongest humans on earth, could face down 1000 foot tall evil digimon, save the planet over and over again and yet never blink while in the fray of battle, had his heart broken by 4 small and simple words said just above a whisper. It is said that a soldier can remember something as small as a fresh blade of grass just before battle hit or an annoying itch on one of his limbs before it was ripped from his body by an explosive, this is how Tai felt he remembered the grit under his shoes as he shifted around a bit, the emptiness of the streets on the accused day, and also how the wind chilled his skin he prayed that the wind would chill inward and dull the pain in his heart as he gathered his courage once again, while he was doing that Tai noticed the doorway open and the small fur-covered digimon peered out, greeted them, and commented on what was in the box and that they should leave it with him, but a chilling from Biyomon made him reconsider and he opened the door farther back to let them in. Tai (putting a hand on Sora�s Shoulder): Hey, Matt would love to see you, so go in there and say �hi� to him for me ok. Sora: You�re not mad Tai? Tai (shaking his head): No I am not, now go in there. With that Tai gently pushed Sora towards the door making her stumble slightly but her years of athletic training allowed her to quickly regain her balance and turned back to look at him over her shoulder and gave him a cute smile and gave him a quiet goodbye that helped to slightly mend Tai�s broken heart and as Courage watched the door close he gave himself a little smile telling himself that if she was happy that�s all that mattered. About a minute after the door closed all was silent in the streets again until a certain orange dragon decided to speak up. Agumon (looking up at Tai): You�re really growing up Tai. Tai (still staring at the door): Yea � I guess your right -- Growing up, what does that mean?? I wonder if I am ready to grow up, I don�t feel any different, except that is for my broken heart that now tries to mend itself within my chest but I guess if I wasn�t able to gain enough courage to tell her 3 simple words then I guess it was never meant to be. In that case instead of mending my heart I should produce a layer of shielding around it so that I will never be hurt again because a leader, no a hero cannot let his emotions rule him, he must be willing to put everything on the line for others, he is willing to die for others without giving another thought to it, he is willing ............. to live alone while others are happy knowing that there is another battle he must fight, an endless waltz of war and peace for a hero never stopping never slowing down � goodbye Sora I hope your happy no matter who your with -- Just then Kari and Gatomon slowly came out of the bushes and quietly stepped up to her brother and put a hand on his shoulder effectively scaring him and the small dinosaur. Tai (panicking): KARI!!!! � Don�t do that ever again!!! Agumon (catching his breath): Yea you nearly made me jump out of my scales!! Kari (giggling slightly): Sorry guys but you were staring at that door for the longest time, why didn�t you tell her Tai?? Tai (sighing softly as he hangs his head): Because she has already made a decision and it wasn�t me � besides if she is happy then that�s all that matters. (Starts to walk away with Agumon by his side) Kari (reaching out to her brother and saying softly): Tai!! As Tai walked down the path away from the concert the wind seem to pick up granting Tai his wish in aiding him null the pain in his heart. Kari (to Gatomon): I�m worried about him Gatomon. Gatomon: Well since I am you digimon partner I feel that way too � but I am worried about Agumon too � he and Tai make up the worlds strongest weapon against evil, and besides he is like my brother he always been nice to me even with my rough exterior he still took time to be nice to me, so in a sense we a both worried about our brothers. Kari (smiling down at her): Maybe you should tell Agumon that when they get back home eh? Gatomon: Maybe I will � It may help Agumon � but it won�t help Tai much. Kari (sighing softy and looks at the backstage door): I know it wont � that�s my job -- there is only one who could help my brother � but she turned her back on him and is with another � but I cant do anything about it, if Tai found out that I told her that he is like this he would never forgive me � he cares about her happiness, ........................... even if he is not part of it. Tai please be well and come back! -- Unknown Location Within the depths of the Digital World in the land known as the Shadow Land, there resides a large fortress with skyscraper tall parapets, rivers of lava flowing down parts of the building structure only to pool in a moat more then 50 feet wide and a unknown depth forming a rather large island on which the dark fortress sits upon, the castle itself is black and ashy and seems to emanate a black aura around it that is almost visible to the naked eye, along the moat surrounding the dark structure is a smaller yet still impressive fort wall that had rock spikes along the base and on the wall that were placed randomly seemingly placed to ward off any unwelcome visitors from coming close. The skies were charred black, thunder blasted through the air making it thicker and thicker with each shockwave; lightning streaked through the sky and often struck the ground lighting up the landscape for a small fraction of a moment showing that the land itself was not desolate as it seemed to be, for upon the ground lay millions upon millions of charred and barren bones of long dead digimon that tried to mount an attack against the residents of the fortress, and again within that moment that the sky lit up one could also see hundreds of Vilemon and Tankmon moving about pulling resources from the battle field back into their encampments for they served as the main infantry force that protected the area. Vilemon 1(walking up to another Vilemon and saluting): Sir!...we have finished scouring this area for anything that could be useful Vilemon Captain: Good work, gather the men and head for the next grid quadrant � I will head to the stronghold and inform Lord Demon of our progress Vilemon 1: Yes Sir! With that the Vilemon captain and his elite guard bored his chariot and inform the driver to head back towards the castle. Meanwhile back in the depths of the castle within a large room that houses many different types of machinery that are doing a variety of things a Vadermon is busily working on his next project and is so engrossed with it that he doesn�t notice the presence of the other dark digimon and the two humans behind him, clad in their battle armaments, with their partner digimon walking into the room. Demon: Vadermon how is the project coming along Vadermon (surprised slightly fumbling with the test tube in his hands): Lord Demon � the project is proceeding as scheduled there shouldn�t be any problems until we get our hands on the subject. Demon (nodding slightly): Excellent and don�t worry about your test subject it or shall I say he will be paying us a visit shortly. Vadermon (grinning slightly): Good because I would like to run a few of my own tests on the patient after I finish with the project. Demon: It doesn�t matter what you do with him so long as you finish the main objective first is that understood. Vadermon (bowing slightly): Yes my lordship everything will be completed Demon (grinning but is concealed by his ceremonial robes): Yes � soon I shall rule over the two worlds then after that nothing will be able to stop me. Not the end for now. SS: Well there you go everyone I am finished my first chapter of my first Digimon Story and I hope that you liked it I will welcome all reviews and comments � please no flames this is my first and it will take me sometime for me to get better so I hope that you all will be kind to me (bows slightly) thank you very much. Sora (smiling at SS and puts a hand on his shoulder): Hey don�t worry about it Shadow-kun I know that wont be too many flames � they are just like you writers and if they like it they will tell you and hopefully there wont be any flames. SS (smiling back at Sora): Thanks Sora you really do deserve your crest. Sora: Thanks SS (looking back at the audience): Thank you for reading my Fic and please review and I will write more. Curtain closes as the two of them walk off the stage to the right talking and laughing is heard until the curtain closes fully and the lights turn off sending you back to the real world again.
