It wasn't easy, watching the way they all fawn over her. The world is not a fair place, and this was just another example. I was all alone in this world and she had more then enough friends. Especially that Taichi. He would have to be dealt with. The room I sat in was dark and grim. The only light came from the dim glow of the screens. This was how it was everyday, as I sat and waited for the right time, which seemed to never come. The darkness was a part of me now..I looked intently at one of the screenscould it be? Yes! Finally!!!!!! I had found the perfect time!!!!! Sora sat by herself planting rosesshe looked truly beautifulit was the perfect timeI got up slowly from the cold hard chair Now was the time to strike. Sora-Life is ironic isn't it? I ended up loving the one thing I dreaded the most...gardening. I guess it wasn't so bad.... it gave you time to relax and think about things.......but at times that could be bad......I sighed,planted the last seed and then started to get up when I heard something behind me. "Hello? Taichi?" I said. I heard someone chuckle. It wouldn't have been unuaslly for Tai to be standing at the gate. Lately he had been helping me out alot with my garden. But I knew Tai's voice and this was not Tai."What's the matter Sora? Don't you remember me?" I turned around to see a figure standing there. My mouth dropped open. It was Ken. "Wha...Wha...What are you doing here?" I asked as I gripped my hand on the shovel. "Oh nothing really...it's a beautiful day for gardening isn't it" he said sneakily. I wasn't convinced. "Ken, what are you doing here?" I said more firmly. I could take this guy if I had to. He sighed, " What makes you think I wasn't just strolling by?" I didn't answer. I just stared. "Fine then, I guess you caught me. I actually came here to make a deal with you...." Before he could finish Tai walked up. "What the?.." he seemed to be as confused as I was. "I knew he was going to be a problem." I heard Ken mumble under his breath. Suddenly Ken made a quick movement and grabbed my wrist. Before he could pull me away I pried my nails into his wrist and he let go. Tai was on him in a flash. Suddenly Ken vanished. "Sora are you alright?! What was that about?" he said. I smiled suddenly calmer now that Tai was here. "I dunno, he just appeared and said he wanted to make a deal with me..." I said shakily. "Lets get to the bottom of this," Tai said. And that's where the fun began. .... Ken-I had messed up, miscalculated. I should have taken that brat into consideration. I would get her next time. There was no room for mistakes. Sora would be mine. Tai-"Are you sure that's all he said?" Izzy asked. "Yeah" Sora said. How many times had we been threw this? We needed to hurry up and take action! "I dunno why he would come after me, maybe I was the only one alone at the time.." she said. "No because I was alone too" Matt said. That had been wwwwwaaaaayy to close. I couldn't let this happen again. "Well, I think this calls for a little butt kicking," I announced. Izzy winced, "Um.... that's not exactly possible...The gate to the digiworld is closed....." "What?!?" I said....why was I the only one freaking out?? He had told everyone else......grrr.....I was going to.....never mind I'll deal with him later I thought..."Okay so what can we do?" I asked practically gritting my teeth to keep from yelling. "Lay low well i try to find out how to open that gate." he said... no Tai....don't yell.....no.... "WHAT?!?!! JUST LAY LOW?!?!!? THAT JERK COULD COME AFTER SORA AGAIN!!!!!!!" I yelledopps...I calmed myself down. "I'm a big girl Tai, I can take care of myself." Sora said....she was right she could take care of herself....but........he had come so close before....and you had stood there and Sora saved herself...a voice said in my mind......that was true......and that why I would have to protect Sora...no matter what, so despite her complaints I walked her home. When we reached the door she stopped me. "I just wanted to thank you Tai...for walking me home and everything....i didn't think you cared...." she said looking down. There must have been something really great about the ground we stood on because soon my eyes directed themselves towards it too. "Of course I care Sora! We've been best friends forever.....I would never that jerk get you! Remember back before we went into Puppetmons castle? I promised I wouldn't let anything happen to you. Well, that promise still stands.....The truth is-" I was suddenly cut off. "Touching really, but Sora it's time to go." Ken said. I stood with my arm in front of Sora. No, he was not going to take Sora not now. "You'll have to get threw me first!" I growled. Ken yawned, opened his hand and suddenly I was thrown against the wall. "TAI!" Sora yelled out and started to run towards me. My head smashed against the wall. I fought back the urge to scream and all the pain and then attempted to get up. But I was too late. Sora shrieked and suddenly fell limp in his arms. He had injected some sleeping chemical. I jumped up. No. He would not take her. Suddenly there was a flash of light and they were gone. "Sora!!!!" I yelled after them. But it was no use. They were gone. I had lost Sora again. If I had just gotten up quicker...I had lost her again...just like in the pyramids... I was a coward. I had promised to protect her. I couldn't believe it. Sora..it was all my fault.......Sora was gone because of me......and I had to get her back. Okay, short and stupid. The rest (if I ever get around to writting it) will be much better! |
