Thousands of Items Go to the Anne Frank House

[Anne and Margot Frank at the beach, circa 1936] Buddy Elias, cousin of Anne Frank and the chairman of the Anne Frank Foundation, which Otto Frank founded after his disappointments with the Anne Frank House, is ironically loaning his Frank-related things to the Anne Frank House! The items are letters, documents and photos which had been stored in his home.
There are about 25,000 items which took two years for an archivist to catalog. The new photo here is Anne and Margot at the beach in Holland (circa 1936). The news items also include another new photo (Otto's extended family in 1901).
I imagine that Mr. Elias decided it would be better if the items were at the Anne Frank House because it includes a museum so the items can be seen sometimes. Presumably they have better facilities for storage than his attic and cupboards! He is also becoming quite old at 82. The loan of the items is a "permanent loan."
