Eva Schloss (right) was a neighbor and the same age
as Anne and later became Otto Frank's step-daughter. Also like
Anne, she had been an concentration camp inmate. She recently
gave, to the Verzetsmuseum
in Amsterdam, the paintings that her father and brother made while they
were in hiding. The paintings are striking, there is a theme of freedom
and good living in many of them. The museum currently has four of the
30 paintings on display.
