Alpha Epsilon Phi

Phi Phacts!!!

Alpha Epsilon Phi was founded on October 24, 1909, by seven women at Barnard College, the women's college of Columbia University. Ninety years after the sorority's founding, the Cleveland State University chapter still upholds the aims and ideals of the original founders of Alpha Epsilon Phi, as reflected in this quote from one of the original seven, Tina Hess Solomon, in 1934:

"We wanted a group of girls chosen not because of any special scholastic preeminence, financial circumstances or other arbitrary standards, but a group who had common interests and were dominated by the ideals of true friendship."
