My shattered memories

My shattered memories

I look out my window
Silently crying
If only she knew
My soul was slowly dying
She wouldn't care
She wouldn't cry
She wouldn't scream
She wouldn't lie
And tell herself
That I'm going to be alright
My life is unimportant
To her and everything around her
I don't matter anymore
She's finished
She's through
She's done
She's not there anymore
Like she was before
In those years where our friendship
Was everything and more
Now she'll just stand there
Watching my world as it divides
Into tiny peices of glass
Too small to put back together
Yet too sharp to pick up
And as I stare out my window
I'll bleed and she won't care...
