These columns were just a dozen vertical 1 inch Rebar encircled with rebar and they were not plumb. We straightened them. Tightened up the rebar so it would not move when the cement was poured. Put these forms around them. Most of the forms were made of fiberglass and where very strong. This form here was made of wood and they all were then clamped with these iron clamps being installed by Americano Alan Dever center (standing on rebar 20 ft off the ground. Once that was done we said a prayer hoping our work would hold when the 1700 lbs of pressure pushed against them from the weight of the cement.
As you can see the working conditions were primitive. We were successful with what we had to work with.
