GEMA is the Spanish acronym for Apostolic and Evangelistic Missionary Group.  The word has meaning beyond the acronym - in Spanish it means precious stone or jewel.  The school is named Jewels of Christ School (Joyas de Cristo) because we believe the children of Hainamosa are precious jewels of Christ!
