Arethusa Falls are located in The White Mountain National Forest in Franconia Notch, New Hampshire. The Falls drop about 200 ft. (Highest in N.H.) We had a nice easy hike, probably about a 1,000 ft. elevation gain. The trail straight to the falls was about 1.5 miles. We got half way up and it started to pour. Oh well... What is your philosophy regarding rain and hiking. I resolved we were going to the top! If we were going to be soaked we were certainly going to see the falls. Why give up half way and still be soaked?? Put this short � day hike on your list for spectacular waterfall views sometime in spring with intense run-offs. I will have a picture for you shortly.
