Belknap Mountain (2,384 ft.)is located in Belknap County in the town of Gilford. Off of Rt. 11A watch for Belknap Mountain Rd. follow it, it weaves around somewhat and eventually turns into a dirt road which steeply winds upward with several hairpin turns. There is a parking lot at the Trailhead and you have four trail options to the top, Red, Green, White, Blue. Green is the steepest ascent and is fairly rocky and wet so watch your step. All trails are about a 1.5 mile hike give or take... so a fairly easy hike with excellent rewards from the top. The Blue Trail about half way up connects with a trail that leads over to the top of Gunstock Mtn. At the top are several cable TV towers and radio towers. From the Firetower on a clear day you can see over the Presidential Range with excellent views of Lake Winnipesaukee.
