Dear Mr. Ibrahim,
Thank you for the information. I am wondering why you
continue to do business with Mr. Frempong when it
really seems that he is trying to cut you out of the
deal and cheat you of your fair portion of the
profits. You seem like a good and honest man and I
get really angry whenever I see a good man cheated.
You should go into business for yourself. I am really
quite angry at Mr. Frempong for the way he wrote to me
when I reported the news of my ordeal in New York
City. It seems to me that he did not believe me.
What would you say if I told you that I do not wish to
deal with Mr. Frempong? The truth is that I only want
to deal with you because I think Mr. Frempong is
trying to cheat you and he was insulting to me. Would
this be acceptable to you? You could say that Ms.
Mahoney no longer wishes purchase the gold but I could
go through you under an assumed name and none of the
commission money would go to Frempong.
As for your offer of the diamonds, I must decline at
this time. It is very risky to be selling diamonds in
Europe because of the ban on "Conflict Diamonds".
Just last week the Garda arrested a Dublin jeweler for
trading in diamonds that were traced to UNITA rebels
in Angola. It is a risk that I cannot take so I must
limit our business to gold.
Let me know because I want to do this business.
Sincerely,
Penny Mahoney
