Swords

The toledan steel is famous throughout the world by its quality.

Appreciated already in the days of the Romans, it continues in the streets in form of retorts of historical swords.

The swords always have been present in the city, in fact, many of histories and legend that still survives in the corners, are developed in the edge of a sword.

The supply of armors, sabers, swords and knives is matchless. There are them of all the types, qualities and of course prices.

 

 

 

Damasquino

The toledan damasquino is one of the treasures of Spain.

Inherited of the Arabs, it consists of inlaying generally gold or silver on materials of greater hardness like iron, bronze, steel or receives.

The damasquino is processed in plates, clasps, bracelets, ring, key rings, etc.

The processing of a decorated plate has been approximately 25 uninterrupted working hours, always depending on the drawing and as large as the plate.

In any place of Toledo the decoration of damasquino pieces can be admired. The craftsmen invite to all that that wishes it, to approach to admire the processing of the work of the damasquino.

 

 

This type of crafts has infinity of prices and qualities, there is damasquino craftsman and damasquino done to machine, but that better they can inform to us they are such retailers.

In the secondary streets, products and of the same category can be found such, a little cheaper. Between the street Alfonso XII and the seat of the Salvador it is the Rojas street, crossroad between the Christian zone and the Muslim, is a shop of familiar character, very recommendable to make the purchases.

 

 

Mazapán

Toledo is the Earth where the Arabs left the secret of that delight with almonds: mazapán.

In addition, candies of many types can be acquired. Some of these can be obtained in closing convents that sell them through the winch, sometimes, just left their ovens.
