Barry: The atmosphere here seems lighter than before, it seems very bright.

Rob: On the altar is a glass or solid liquid sphere with a golden light at the centre. Green and gold tendrils come from it, moving and swaying.

Barry: The toad is nearby. Flute sounds echo around the rocks.

Rob: They are very liquid sounds.

I examine the sphere. There are finer lines spreading from the main tendrils. All of the sphere is shot through with near invisible threads connected to the centre.

Barry: The bright lights on the water are the eyes of a multitude of creatures watching us. Their eyes have the same lustre as the sphere. I dont know if this is an essence of water, or intelligence.

Rob: I think that the sphere represents reality. All things connected to the centre however remotely. All life we know is connected by water. If we touched the sphere we would experience the connection, but better not to at present.

Barry: At present, it feels as though there is a physical barrier between us and the water, like the raft, and now the sphere. We are at a level where we can see and feel water, but are not ready to become part of it. We should emulate the toad, who is happy both in and out of water.

Rob: If you come with no clear purpose, you will get little out of this.

Barry: I agree. I feel there is some clear lessons to learn in this temple.

Rob: Get on with it.

Barry: Once again I am on the banks of the river. This section is steep and rocky.

Rob: I don my robe and sandals and take both staffs and Barrys robe and sandals. I will myself to where he is.

Barry: I see you, I feel stronger.

Rob: Pretty effects, I saw multicoloured raindrops fall to the temple floor. The toad is seeking to goad, (rather poetic!).

Barry: The staff offers support. The snake grips tightly. The raft is close to shore.

Rob: I push it off and leap on. Theres a long pole to steer with. The raft goes into the middle of the river.

Barry: It is bumped by rocks and pulled by the current.

I can see the girl ahead; she is lost in the strong current.

Rob: I steer the raft towards her.

Barry: She is being carried along by the current, she seems unconcerned. The rocks to either side are steep and slippery.

Rob: Why is she unconcerned?

Barry: She directs her own course. She has mastery over the river. We are guided by staffs, but we do not have mastery over the course. Together we have the strength to guide the raft.

Rob: We can avoid the rocks, but we have no course. I dont think the woman has either. See if you can reach her, I steer towards her.

Barry: She is standing in an area of slowly flowing water deeper than the centre of the river. She is dressed in green, and wears a green necklace.

Rob: When you are close enough, take her hands.

Barry: Her hands are strong.

Rob: Look into her eyes.

Barry: They are deep pools of green, heavy.

Rob: What is her course?

Barry: To control the channel and understand tidal and emotional flow. She has a control that we lack. She has no need of a staff. She has control, but no purpose.

Rob: Behind her is a sunflower, growing out of a sandbank.

Barry: At her feet is a large silver/blue serpent. It is coiled around her and watches us.

Rob: She is like a living staff. The water around her is sinking, getting shallower. The river is flowing past us.

Barry: In some ways she appears as a guide, as others a barrier. At the moment we rely on the snake staffs, at some stage we will need to throw them away.

Rob: We are here to resolve a situation. The anima is important to us both in different ways. We need to greet the anima on equal terms.

Barry: This situation, she is represented by the journey.

Rob: The sunflower faces the sun.

Barry: We have been left behind by the river.

Rob: The sun is Tiphareth, absorbing our imbalance. Creation, all require contemplation to understand the exact discrepancy, followed by a positive action to bring about integration.

We find ourselves back in the temple. The sphere is almost completely green. There is a cup on the altar. I can hear many voices. Each raindrop is a voice. You okay?

Barry: Yes.
