Rob:             The walls have half seen images, a bit like moving clouds. The flames are quite low. A rough hewn slab of yellow ochre seems to serve as an altar. From a central hole on the altar burns a single flame, besides it is a salamander which stares at us unblinking.

Barry:          There is sound of a heartbeat that is magnified by the walls, it’s so strong we can feel it.

Rob:             The altar flame grows in size. I can see a figure dancing within it. The flame flickers as the figure dances.

Barry:          It is a circular dance with much moving of the arms that mimics flame. I see a woman with many arms.

Rob:             The temple is more than warm, there is heat from the salamander and the flame. The salamander is moving slowly and deliberately. It watches us.

We have worked before with the element of Fire using the Tattwas, and those lessons are still relevant. Fire is a living process, to exist something must be consumed. The more powerful the flame, the more is consumed. The candle burning at both ends burns brighter, but only lasts for half as long.

Barry:          The dancing figure juggles small white balls of fire. She pulls them out of herself and forms perfect spheres of fire. I see other figures, giants, that form vessels out of clay, some are rough, some crystal clear, to hold the flames. The clear vessels last longer than the rough, but all eventually succumb to the flame. Most flames from the broken vessels are consumed by the lady, but some of the brighter flames are released.

I can see the ball of flame within me. As it burns it brightens with age, consuming more of the flesh.

Rob:             Fire requires Air. These elements favour each other. Fire does not favour Water, but there is a Fire of Water. Earth can smother flame, but can nurture a flame within it, the heart of the planet is molten.

The most important lessons to do with Fire for us concern our energy levels. Each day we consume and produce energy. Just as an inefficient fire lacks heat, so our consumption can also lack efficiency.

Barry:          Others reach for our fire to suck it from our bodies, and we must guard against this.

Rob:             A simple thing to do. An act of will. Surround ourselves with a circle of fire that protects that within whilst consuming that without, but it must have fuel to act as a protection. To actively think of it, this will sustain the fire, allowing us to store more energy.

Barry:          This is the final part of the cleansing that we have undergone in the other temples. I can feel the outside grime of life burning off. There is only one other cleansing above this, and that is yet to be revealed. I can see the importance of imagination.

Rob:             I can see a tracery of energy lines within the body.

Barry:          I see it as a fiery sphere within our chests, with lines radiating out when we think of action.

Rob:             Fire can be seen as destructive, but is an opportunity. It destroys the outworn and the useless.

Barry:          We can use fire, it is only dangerous when out of control. We should not be afraid to use it. We have worked long to form the instruments of the Fire; Air gave us the will; Water gave us the bounds. I can feel the temples connect.

Rob:             The salamander is now climbing up me. It’s mouth is by my ear.

Barry:          I see it as a cloaked male figure.

Rob:             Fire is about power, and its inherent responsibility.

Barry:          The rod of rulership... (a gap here – some words not recorded),... has the globe of power, which is the symbol. You have journeyed many times to understand the responsibility of wielding power. The lessons learnt. Power is easy to use, but hard to use correctly.

Rob:             Fire can leap from tree to tree in a forest, it is fast. Events can quickly go out of control when they build momentum.

Barry:          Each of the temples that you have visited have been small and contained by a wall of energy to protect energy from your lack of power.

Rob:             I see from a height all four temples, and you beside me. I see all the temples converge and their power united, it produces a heady feeling.

Barry:          I feel them also. I feel heat, air, solidity and water.

Rob:             Fire is a subtle element and so are it’s dangers. It is easy to be seduced into shows of power. Unconsidered action can be dangerous.

Barry:          I feel we are in the process of being turned from the body of clay to the body of glass. The clay body can break and loose energy.

Rob:             But we must use it. Fire contained is a bomb. It needs constant fuel, but too much will smother it.

We must consider as to how we must utilise our powers. Our actions must be balanced. That is the key to their proper development. I see the yin/yang symbol and a tunnel of flame. We are drawn into the tunnel and absorb the symbol, and find ourselves back in the temple.

Barry:          The temple is bright – the windows shine.

Rob:             The weapons shine with an intensity that they did not have before.
