Air Temple

Wednesday 27th September 1995 (9:30pm)

Barry: We approach the tower and see the familiar face. We ascend the stairs and reach the inner temple. There is a curtain of bamboo in the doorway, which we part to enter. I hear the sound of the wind chimes jingling softly.

Rob: Through the hole in the ceiling near invisible creatures float into the room. They look like the archetypal fairy but without wings. They pluck at us, and lift us. They don�t speak but I can hear a buzzing sound. They are very strong and lift us into the air but not as much as I expected.

There is a great sense of space. We are flying towards a castle on a cloud. As we near we can see that it doesn�t exist it�s just an illusion.

We can�t hear them properly because they live and vibrate at a faster rate than us.

We are moving around the sky aimlessly. This is how our minds often are falling around without goal or aim.

Barry: Ahead I can see something like a vast waterfall.

Rob: I can see it.

Barry: There are lights floating all around the waterfall which seems to be on a cloud. We have been dropped here. I hear sounds, jangling and buzzing, they are very loud. The light move in and out of the waterfall.

A path leads directly to the waterfall. We step in and are immediately stripped of any body. We are a point of light. I can see an image almost as if through a lens of a figure reaching out and pressing in towards us through a thick membrane of clear material.

Rob: I see a tall thin man wearing a crown. His clothing is shiny and almost featherlike. He has an intelligent face and his face is sombre.

Vibration is extremely important in this element. Vibration of all things in existence � sounds and thoughts.

I feel the breeze. I feel empty as though unburdened, expanded.

Barry: If I put my ear to the membrane, I can understand the beings. The figure behind it is tall and black.

We will be tested in this element as in the others. We lack in clarity in thought and action. Sword symbolism is important here. The sword will crop up unexpectedly.

There will be a way to achieve the goal. We need to critically review the goal we set. Once we reach fire without clear goals we will loose control and either burn to ash, or go out of control towards something we don�t desire.

I feel myself being blown like autumn leaves.

Rob: We have the potential to become much; to master the element, but not on this cycle. But if we stand the test of fire and understand the ruling of spirit, we shall start to gain practical knowledge and conquer it.

Learn the lesson of silence, which is one lesson of this element, but also of Malkuth itself and in learning it, believe in the power of the spoken word, the inflexion and more importantly the projection of the spoken word.

I can feel words that I cannot say at present. I sense something of what they could do.

Barry: I can see a figure who is using a spirit catcher. He is vibrating sounds like words, he vibrates strength. These sounds are words, they communicate fast power. I can hear the tower wind chimes calling then I am being blown back through the window.

Rob: Breathe, pause, project.

(Rob then vibrates the Kabbalistic Cross.)

I too am returned to the temple.
