- April 28th, 2000: Sponges absorb... hmm that does sound
right, doesn't it? So exactly how did Mark Adams, Tim
Adams, Kevin Kildoth, and Josh Stotesbury
come together? Like a sponge. Absorb is the alternative mix
of something you'd hear from the Goo Goo Dolls and Tonic and
as responsible church goer-kids do, they've also produced
lots of original songs as Tim remains the resident
"genius" of the band.
When they started in early October of 1999, they had a
pretty good idea about their sound. Vocals got to sing well
and nothing like the Screaming Monkeys now, and you have to
have fun. The band does so in its jump-about attitude shared
by many of those punk/alt artists from Blink 182 to Third
Eye Blind.
This summer, the band hopes to really jump off with school
not in the way and all. They also hope to gain attention
through the help of 104.1 The Point (secrets still locked
unfortunately).
So Absorb--well--absorbs the fans in, especially all those
girls. What do they have to say about it? Modesty.
Absorb is:
Mark Adams
Tim Adams
Kevin Kildoth and
Josh Stotesbury.
