Here are the pics of the work I have done so far. The bracing should help to keep the body in some kind of alignment when I lift it off the chassis and when I cut the channels off.

The drivers side rear quarter is a bit of a mess, lots of filler and a strange strip welded in as I said before. Luckly the other side isn't too bad, just a skim of filler on that side.

Both the channels have been weleded to the pan, a lot. So I have just cut the along the lenth. I wore out a new cutting disk just doing one side, who ever did the welding used thick plate!
