I'm a freelance animator, based in the North-East of England, who specialises in both 2D and 3D multimedia computer animation. My pixel facination started as a teenager with binary on a ZX Spectrum in the mid 1980s. I became interested in computer animation while studying Photography at Cleveland College of Art & Design in the early 1990s, and my first commercial works were created using Deluxe Paint III and Lightwave 3D 3.5 on a Commodore Amiga. I now use primarily Adobe Photoshop and Lightwave 3D on a PC. Work completed recently has ranged from a short animation for a student film to detailed animations and illustrations for medical training packs. Since 2000 I've studied degree modules part-time at the University of Teesside School of Computing, to extend my knowledge of multimedia and animation software and keep up-to-date with the latest developments in computer technology. |
