GABI NG KONSIERTO PARA SA GAWAD KALINGA

A concert for a cause was held last November 29, 2005 at the Marikina Theatre for the benefit of the Gawad Kalinga Project which aims to donate 2 houses in East Rizal -B Area. The event was hosted by the different organization of AMA East Rizal including ACOST. The performers of the event includes SOAPDISH, AGAPE, LANCE ONATE, GISH, CHIMES, and local bands and performers from our school.

ACOST IN ACTION!

The Associates of Computer Studies have once again volunteered in the Philippine Youth Congress in Information Technology - Y4IT 2005 held last September 15-17, 2005, making them as one of the longest volunteer of the said event. The event was filled with different I.C.T topics discussed by the top I.T. professionals and members of the academe. The group not only enjoyed their tasks as a volunteer but as well as made a new pact with their fellow volunteers from UP - Diliman, San Beda College, and Roosevelt College.

 Career Opportunites and Work Readiness Seminar

A seminar regarding career opportunities was held last October 7, 2005 in cooperation with the APTECH Worldwide - Philppines. The said seminar features two (2) topics on careers. The first speaker was represented by Mr. John Paul Estrellado of ACOST from which he presented the different Careers in ICT, and the main speaker of the event was a representative from APTECH Worlwide, Mr. Divakar Bagari, who talks about the Giants of I.T. Industry.

 PHP Seminar - Level 50

Last September 30, 2005, the Associates of Computer Studies hosted a seminar regarding on PHP Programming, the seminar aims to provide the THESIS A and B students a basic introduction on the said scripting language from which they can use on their research study. The seminar was started by a  30 minutes talk on Careers on ICT which was delivered by Mr. John Paul Estrellado and Mr. Raphael Anthony Manabat. The main speaker of the seminar is Mr. Jassen Panes,  which is also a former student of AMA East Rizal

 INTENSIFY 2005: Learn. Provide. Explore

Held last July 9, 2005, ACOST Intensify 2005 is the most successful event organized by an organization to date in AMA East Rizal, speakers coming from the industry and various organization discusses about Careers in I.T., .Net Framework, ASP.Net, Current ICT Trends, and Network Viruses.

Around 180++ students attended the said event, that are provided with more news and information on I.T.
