Teaching Hockey

In This last 2012 all grade eleven have task to join PTL (Pathway To Leadership) Program. All of us were divide into some groups that consist of 5 or 6 members. Each of group are free to chose what community and service that they would do in the society.

All groups got 1 million for their budget in doing this program, but before that we need to make the proposal first. For this project my group choose to teach junior high school about Hockey. We choose that because we knew that hockey is not really spread it in Indonesia especially in Palembang.

We started our program by spreading the permission letter to some junior high school in Palembang, after that we socialized hockey to the students by come to class by class.in 4^th of November we ran the first teaching time.

In the first time there were many students come it’s around ten student, but sadly there was rain at that time. So we just fill our first meeting by introducing and also sharing session about hockey.

We ran the hockey meeting twice in week with schedule at 9 am in Saturday morning and also at 4 pm in Sunday morning. Along our journey in this program we got a lot of experiences. We felt clash some times with other group’s member, but it didn’t break our good team work.

Our last session in this program was held the hockey competition among the student that we have thought before, we helded it on 27^th of January 2013. We were so happy when we looked the students that have been thought by us can play hockey well.
