WELCOME TO SMAN SUMSEL(SAMPOERNA ACADEMY)
SMA
Negeri Sumatera Selatan (Sampoerna Academy) is a dormitory
school providing a holistic education for each individual. This
school is the pioneer of free of charge dormitory school which
provides a high quality education for each student.
The government of South Sumatera and Sampoerna Foundation fully
support this school. We prepare students with curriculum based
on IGCSE and KTSP.
The Academy is fully committed to students and teachers working
together to provide an educational and learning environment
where students will become effective learners, critical
thinkers, effective communicators, healthy and globally
conscious individuals. English becomes the first language of
instruction and communication. Apart from Indonesian language,
KTSP-based subjects are also conducted in English. The whole
members of Sampoerna Academy, teachers, staff and students are
aware that the use of English is essential in gaining the best
result.
We believe that students will reach their fullest potential when
they get every opportunity not only in academic but also in
other areas. We, therefore, provide activities that cultivate,
strengthen, and deepen their talent and skills that will be very
useful in their lives. Sports, ICT, Arts, and Learning to Live
programs are some of activities provided for students to do in
the afternoon.
We are aware that attitude plays a very important role in the
success of each individual. Therefore, SMA Negeri Sumatera
Selatan (Sampoerna Academy) is committed to prepare future
leaders with first class attitude that every Indonesian will be
proud of.
