| I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from Smith College and I am currently teach 7th grade Mathematics at Kelly Lane Middle School in PISD. I am enrolled in the Austin Community College Center for Teaching Certification Program. I have passed the Math #115 4-8 content test and the PPR EC-12 tests as required by SBEC. I have been a substitute in the Leander ISD, focusing largely on middle school math in grades 7th & 8th. Prior to moving to Austin in 2006, I taught Pre-K at the Sunshine Kids Preschool in McKinney, Texas for 3 years. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| I have a strong belief that all students are highly capable and that given a safe and positive environment that encourages exploration, they will florish into confident, successful young adults. I believe that I am an important and significant influence in the lives of the students I teach and that I can make a positive difference in their lives. I am seeking a teaching opportunity that will allow me to infuse students with a love for learning and to show them the importance of Mathematics in their futures. |

| My husband is an enginner at NVidia Corp. designing computer chips for their graphics cards. My two boys Bryan & Matthew are 11 & 9 years old and my youngest daughter Grace is 6. |
