ACAT Code of Ethics !!!
SAFETY

1. I understand that cheerleading/dance is a competitive activity, which requires the proper training techniques for the athletes under my direction.

2. I attest I have been prperly trained in basic cheerleading/dance technique, proper skill progession, and safety precautions for the activities that I teach.

3. I understand it is my ethical duty to put the interest and safety of my athletes first, and not put cheerleaders/dancers under my direction at risk unnecessarily.

RULE COMPLIANCE

1. I agree to follow all safety and performance guidlines both by the letter and spirit of the rule.

2. I agree to abide by the age/grade stipulations for competition devisions as determinated by ACAT.

3. I understand if a violation is reported I may be required to supply age verification to event officials.

4. I will accept all judges' rulings as final.


SPORTSMANSHIP

1. I will support the championship outcome and represent my program with integrity.

2. I understand my position as a role model  for my team and will conduct myself in a  professional manner.

3. I will display good sportsmanship and require such of my cheerleaders/dancers and staff.

BUSINESS ETHICS

1. I will refrain from unsolicited criticism of other cheerleading coaches and/or their programs. If an opinion is sought about another coach and/or program any opinion should be offered in an objective and professional manner.
2. I will preserve the confidential information provided by my customers even after the termination of our relationship unless required to disclose by court order.
3. I will not deny services to any person for reasons of race, color, religion, or national origin.
4. I will not solicit a customer which is currently in a business relationship with another ACAT member program.
5. I will not recruit in any way the staff of another ACAT member program.
6. If another ACAT gym contacts me regarding one of my former or current customers possibly going to their gym, I will cooperate with that gym in making any potential transition as smooth as possible.
7. I will not place signs, banners, flyers or similar advertisements within close proximity of another ACAT member gym with the intent of soliciting their customers. This does not preclude me from engaging in �general� types of advertising such as mass mailing, television, radio, or newspaper advertising.
