This is the picture at the top of the AB Woodlands
home page.
Taken from the center of Langsford Pond looking East towards the Tufts
property, from the Tufts house (just visible, extreme left) to the end
of Tufts Lane (not visible, on top of the hill on the right.)
Between the pond and the woodland is the alder swamp, also counted as part
of Langsford Pond.
The picture was taken in early October. The first colors are evident. The
water level, normally kept high by the beavers, has dropped about three feet
in two months, but the alders are still standing in water.
