Daily Care

Food

Feed the rabbit(s) their normal quantity of the food you gice them once or twice a day either in the morning or late afternoon. Some breeders give their rabbits an unlimited supply of food until they are about 6 months old.

Water

Take the water bottle and rinse it out thoroughly. Then add fresh, clean water into it. While you're doing all this, be checking for cracks (that can cause leaks), broken pieces, and make sure the little ball at the tip where the rabbit drinks isn't stuck or broke. Fresh, clean food and water are essential if you want your rabbits to remain healthy and happy!

Cage (if the rabbit lives in one)

You can clean the cage out daily, but I suggest every four days or so. At least check for any broken or sharp wires sticking out. After all, your rabbit's cage is his own home where he should feel safe and comfortable.

The Rabbit

Each day theck the rabbit all over for any signs of illness, injury, or anything that looks unusual. Pick him up and see if he "feels right"--make sure he's not bloated. Or, is he sitting at the corner of his cage and won't come when you come to give him his food? This could be a sign of illness.
Also check his droppings. Are they runny? This might be a sign of sickness, most of the time diarrhea means something could be wrong.
Check his food dish. Has he been eating? (Check this before you give him new fresh food.) Then check the water level (before you emprty it out and refresh it). Has he been drinking? If he hasn't at all, then most likely he hasn't been eating, either. Something is wrong if he won't eat/drink.

Exercise

Make sure the rabbit gets enough exercise during the week. If not possible each day, then let him have his play time several times a week.
