| Melanie A. Richmond, R.M.T., has been a bodyworker for over nine years. She graduated from the Giving Tree Cottage Massage Therapy School in Nacogdoches, Texas. She has received additional specialized massage therapy training in Dallas at both Hands On Approach Massage Therapy School and Sterling Health Center and most recently at Hands On Therapy in Tyler, TX. Melanie is also a Reiki Master. She received her training in Usui form of Reiki from Reiki Master, Doris Willingham, with the Phoenix House in Nacogdoches, Texas.
Melanie specializes in stress reduction and pain management. She believes that stress causes "dis" ease and illness in the body so the reduction and/or elimination of stress is imperative in our body's ability to remain healthy and strong. Even though Swedish massage is the most widely known form of massage, Melanie uses a blend of Swedish and other massage and energy techniques in order to tailor each session specifically for each individual client. Melanie also believes in the body, mind, and spirit connection. She believes that there must be a balance of the three in order to maintain optimum health. She has seen incredible positive results with her clients' mental, emotional, physical and spiritual wellness through their commitment to regular massage therapy and energy work. |
