OFFSPRING NEWS

May 18, 2001 - The Offspring Play KROQ's Punk Rock Prom At Magic Mountain
The Offspring performed with Weezer at KROQ's Punk Rock Prom at Magic Mountain near Los Angeles last night and had a few surprises. The band did two shows, one for Fountain Valley High and one for Simi Valley High. Decked out in '70's era tuxedos, the band were joined by Rob Schneider who performed the 'You Can Do It!' part in Original Prankster that was originally inspired by that line of his in the movie 'The Waterboy'.

As it was prom, the band also decided to do a slow song - since they don't really have any slow songs they decided to cover 'Babe' by Styx during which Rob Schneider and Guy 'Pretty Fly For A White Guy' Cohen handpicked girls from the audience for an on-stage slow dance.
