Reality... Or the world as observed by me
April 13, 2004 11:46 pm Ok, so it really doesn't look like Arby's Guy is going to come visit this semester. Breathe a sigh of dissappointment....sigh. Oh well...maybe we'll go on a roadtrip this summer up to case and visit or he'll definitely come up next semester. Its kinda weird, cuz last night I talked to him online, and by the way he was talking to me on AIM was like I could actually hear him.... It was really funny when he started talking like he was from the ghetto...oh god. I miss the kid. Yea anyway, I've started thinking about what I want to do for the summer...working is a must, but where is the question. I'm pretty sure I can still work at Target, but I don't really want to if I can get a boring desk job somewhere or even a job in a lab. I would die if I could work in a lab... Ah well... ANd yes, by the way...I am doing the hardcore studying thing. I have read a lot already, and have a decent start on my crappy SAGES paper due on the 26th. However, we do have a presentation on our Utopian community due next week, and I'm not sure how that's going to turn out. I mean how can you build a Utopian community when you know, in all honesty, its simply not possible??? Yea, lemme know on that one, cuz we've been stuck on it for the past few weeks...lol. And yea, Rolling Stones still rock. They've been playing on my computer for the past 24 hours non-stop...literally. Old school stuff like Painted Black and Get Off of My Cloud. I wish I were in the 60's minus the cold war, Vietnam, racial tensions, and gender inequalities. It would have been great. Free thought just floating everywhere. But anyway. I think that's about it. Take it easy.
April 15, 2004 10:19 pm So just came back from a semi- Phi Tau AXO mixer. I say semi-mixer because we really didn't "mix" that much. Basically it consisted of a lot of Phi Taus, a few AXOs, all searching for a bowling alley that A. wasn't full, and B. was actually open. So in the car I rode in there was Dave, Anil (?), and Shardizzy. It was pretty cool cuz the boys were decent...by decent I mean easy-going, chill guys. So here's the story.... We began by looking for this bowling alley on Brecksville Road... we never found it, but we did find 2 HERDS of deer crossing the road, which was I have to admit, pretty sweet. Shardule (once he awoke from the second-narcoleptic episode of the night) was quite fascinated because I suppose they don't have deer (or at least as many deer) in Boston like we do here....lol. We then attempted to find another bowling alley, and again, never found it, so we abandoned the bowling idea altogether and decided to just get ice cream at Friendly's. By that time, either people had dropped out and headed back to Case or had settled for food elsewhere. However, we found a Friendly's and Cathy, Sarah, Dana, and Maria all came to meet us there. And the PKT guys paid, which was sweet. I did kinda feel bad though because not a lot of girls were at the house to go to the mixer. It was almost dissappointing, cuz the Phi Tau's had a lot of guys. I guess the point of the story was that the mixer was fun. And yet again, Phi Tau's have re-established that they are among the best group of guys on campus. Haven't met a bad one yet. And speaking of guys...so I just discovered that one of my good friends aka georgetown guy went out with a girl from my high school whom I totally didn't expect. It almost doesn't surprise me, but it does in the fact that I had been so outta touch with him that I didn't even see it coming. But anyway, I guess it just needed to be brought up cuz I was actually talking about him today, and I was reminded of old sentiments. Reminded briefly anyway. I do feel bad for not having talked to him more, but then again, he never made the effort to me either. So i figger its a two way street, and he didn't walk it. Ah well, so goes life. ONly one full week of classes left. Wow. Time flies. I'm ready to go home though. Very ready. Yet, I'm not quite ready to leave. Not even close. And tomorrow will be fun...hehe... You all have fun tomorrow too :)
April 18, 2004 1:54 am So last night was fun...hehe... yea. Lauren's little Lagoon Party went off without much of a hitch. Some half-truths had to be told to keep it under wraps, but she was still surprised which is what counts. We had a few shots in the lagoon...in retrospect not a good idea because there were kids watching us...yea. We're great role models. But as it turned out that was some pretty hard stuff...burned like all hell. And yet, I had another, and another. ANd then we headed home. Saw Rajiv on the way back, acted like we were all sober, but yea, that didn't last very long. When you're carrying a large bag with clinking shot glasses and you can't quite walk straight, its hard not to give yourself away. And then we got back to the dorm, and I finished off a Bacardi O3 like nothing and then it all hit me...oh god. Hit me hard. I was out like a light by 1230. It was a new experience, being that trashed. And my parents and sister are reading this, I'm sure. Yes, your daughter does actually party. Surprise! Anyway, yea, not much of a hangover, but too tired to be very productive. Still did read two chapters of Bio and met with my sages class...so I guess that's better than nothing. However, considering I have no idea what I've read and there is a Bio exam on Monday...aka tomorrow...i'm pretty well fucked on that. But it could be worse. Vicky and I have decided to go on a road trip come the week after finals. Goin up to Jersey and then Boston and maybe Maryland. See our boys and chill on the cool Atlantic Ocean for a few days. I'm totally for it, donno how my rents'll take it though. Have a feeling they won't be too pleased that I won't be working right away. Ah well. I gotta have my fun while I can. Kinda tired of being the always responsible, hardworking daughter. ANd goddamn it I love the Stones. Totally just found 6 full albums online and downloaded all of them. Fuck me Mick Jagger is hot. Why can't anybody sing like him anymore???? And that's a cool name. Mick Jagger. Sounds like Dick Dagger or something. And wow this entry is random. All over the place. Well, off to make my goodnight rounds I think Take it easy.
April 22, 2004 1:27 am Yea, I know long time no see...ah well. life gets busy ya know? But sorry to report, nothing exciting has gone on since my last entry. My parents took bets on what I was doing last night, and my mom won. My parents are sad. Real real sad. on a good note, however, I have solidified my chem lab grade. Everything else is pretty much a guranteed B cept for sages, the only other class I have a shot at an A in. Eh, se la vie. Went to a kickass orchestra concert tonight as well. Some russian dude that was A-ok in my book. Shardizzle my nizzle rocked out to that shit, it was cool :) AND oh YEA!! ReCYClinG EXtrAVaaGANZA today (the 22nd) in THWING from 3 to 8...great prizes (aka chipotle and tommy's) as well as good support for case's recycling program. Be there or you're not my friend anymore. :( And well, its off to bed. gotta get up early and pay for all the chem glassware I broke this semester... Peace
