Hello
De Me
Hello.
So I guess you're wondering who is this girl, this Patty you keep hearing about...well, here's your chance to get to konw her.
Well, for starters, I'm a "first year student" at Case Western Reserve University.  Technically, I'm a sophomore (or so they tell me), but as I'm sure I'll be here more than 4 years, it don't mean much.  The rest of the semester I'm liviing in Tyler House...the coolest dorm on campus.  Never has there been so much love packed into one dorm in Case history.  Truly.  Hopefully the love'll spill over into next school year in Clark Tower.  fingers crossed.  Anyway, when I'm not studying intra-dorm relationships under Tyler Studies, I'm studying my biology and chemistry for a Biochemistry degree.  Biology and Chemistry you ask?  Yes.  Proteins and enzymes and DNA...nothing is sexier than knowing the function of an RNA polymerase and how a lactose operon works.
As for the rest of it, I'm "from" Dayton, Ohio.  From is a pretty loose term here, because if you count my birthplace as my "hometown" then it would be Anchorage, Alaska.  I really don't feel like I'm "from" anywhere, just that I lived there at some point.  I'm from Ohio just as much as I'm from Virginia or Alaska or Michigan.
I have a sister, younger, named Lynn.  SHe's great, though I do have to admit I was pretty cruel to her in our younger years.  I also have two parents in the same house, something of a rarity these days.
Hmmmm....well, I could go into hobbies, but I don't know what constitutes a hobby.  And I think the word "hobby" is overrated to begin with.  Hobby implies something that one does for fun, but in fact, if one has a consistent hobby, that makes it more than just a hobby, and if one has a sporadic interest in a hobby, then it is much less than a hobby.  But if I were to have a hobby, or more than a hobby, it would be movie watching.  Yes, I'm a movie buff, in the beefiest sense of the word.  I am beyond well-versed in many a movie plots, and I can play 6 degrees of Kevin Bacon in my sleep.  By movie watching, I mean more than just watching a movie and laughing at the stupid plot, by movie watching I mean complete and utter appreciation for the entire art.  From screenwriting to cinemaphotography I love it all.  I especially love the old classics.  Humphrey Bogart is da man, and Jimmy Stewart was actually believable, and Cary Grant...er....well...Cary's just a pimp.  And god, in the Sexties (oops, I mean Sixties) Peter O'Toole...Peter's more of a man-whore than anything, a man-whore who could act the pants off of any of his co-stars.
There really isn't much else to me I guess than my politics or lack thereof.  First off, I hate Bush.  He's the worst thing that could have happened to our country before 9/11, and he's definitely the worst thing to happen since.  So that's a favorite arguing point.  Bush.  And I love to debate in general.  Anything, anytime, anywhere.  I gotta say, I have a ton more respect for a person when they can stand their ground in an argument, and its pretty sexy.  Yea, I'm a geek
SO there you go.  That's me thus far.
